The organic label guarantees that at least 95 % of the ingredients are organically grown. Moreover, the product may not contain more than 0.9 % of genetically modified material.

The "Fairtrade Cocoa" seal is a social seal and aims at securing living wages, better working and living conditions and a long-lasting relationship for cocoa farmers. For the cultivation and trade of cocoa in the "Fairtrade Cocoa Program" the same criteria apply as for other Fairtrade products.

UTZ Certified sets standards for a sustainable production within the entire supply chain. The rules for the cultivation and harvesting are mentioned in the UTZ Code of Conduct. These include, for example, that the use of pesticides has to be reduced to a minimum, that the soil may not be exhausted and that safe working conditions prevail. Neither child labour is permitted, nor the destruction of natural habitats. Within the supply chain the traceability is another important requirement for the certification.

The IFS Food Standard is a standard recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) for auditing food manufacturers. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products.

The "Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil" (RSPO) is a global initiative of several interest groups that are oriented towards certified sustainable palm oil products. The members of the RSPO and the ones involved in its activities come from different areas and include plantations, producers and retailers, environmental associations and social NGOs from many countries which produce or use palm oil products. The most important goal of the RSPO is to advance the cultivation and the usage of sustainable palm oil by the cooperation within the supply chain and by an open dialogue between the interest groups.

The BRC Food certification forms a global framework for the auditing of food production and processing. The main emphasis of this standard lies on the quality assurance of food processing and the associated processes.
